Perlbox Voice currently provides support for plugins to control different desktops, though only the KDE plugin has been implemented. These plugins allow you to navigate around your desktop using only your voice. Look ma, no mouse! Now you can control your linux desktop using only your voice!!

There are plans, and a framework, to add support for plugins to control running applications. Look for this in upcoming releases.
